These exquisite antique style earrings feature deep blue sapphire set within a floral design that sits on a raised level within a beautifully textured frame. I made them in fine silver precious metal clay cast from a mold of an antique button. I believe that they will be an instant keepsake that fits every occasion.
After firing the clay it becomes solid sterling silver and I then burnish the earrings for several hours, oxidize and buff them them to bring out the detail, burnish again and finally hand polish them giving the finished earrings a mellow shine.
The earrings measure 13mm (just over 1/2") round.
