Although most know it as a translucent deep dark red stone garnet actually comes in several other beautiful colors such as a pink to purple rhodolite, a gradation of light champagne to deep chocolate brown in hessonite, light pale green to deep brown in grossular, and bright emerald in tsavorite. There is even a type known as "color change" garnet, most commonly andalusite!
