One of my most enduring design inspirations is Mehndi (henna tattoo), with it's graceful flowing lines it evokes a powerful divine feminine creative energy. There is strength and power inherent in the beauty of creative feminine energy. This beauty, this strength, is our birthright, it belongs to us. When this bracelet is worn I hope that it serves as a reminder of the connection to this birthright.
This bracelet was made by me in my home studio by casting the component design from sterling silver precious metal clay. After firing, the component was hand oxidized, then buffed to bring out the contrast and texture, and then tumbled and polished to bring out shine and to strengthen the metal. I've threaded the silver oval onto a bright turquoise ribbon edged in silver metallic thread but you may also pick from the ribbons shown in the last 3 photos, please make your selection from the drop down menu.
The length of the silver oval is 1 1/4" wide and just under 1" long and the silk ribbon measures 36" long.
