The depth of the deceptively simple honeycomb contains multitudes. The hexagonal cell is built by industrious cooperative bees to hold the nectar they collect, and the larvae that is nourished by that nectar. This early, natural sacred geometry is a powerful symbol, a reminder of the community to which we belong, that holds us, and which we hold others in, stability and strength, nurture and nourishment of ourselves and others, and hope and joy in the warmth of the sun and turning of the seasons. May you remember this when you gaze upon the honeycomb.
