The fascinating spiral, repeated in nature everywhere from tiny shells to ocean whirlpools to galaxies. I love ruminating on the connection of all things from the tiny to the astronomical and the symbolism of the spiral. What does it mean to you?
These earrings will be made to order in my Silver Spring, MD home studio from sterling silver metal clay. After firing the clay transforms into solid sterling silver and I then burnish the earrings for several hours, oxidize with a subtle iridescent patina and buff them them to bring out the detail, burnish again and finally hand polish them giving the finished earrings a mellow shine.
The earrings measure about 4mm and come with lightweight sterling silver backs.
