I cast this beautifully detailed pendant in silver metal clay from a mold that I made and textured the back of the pendant with an exuberant floral paisley pattern. Once fired in my kiln the pendant is transformed into solid sterling silver and it is burnished for several hours, oxidized and buffed by hand to bring out the detail of the design, burnished again, and then hand polished for a mellow shine.
The pendant measures 5/8" (or 17mm) long including the ring and is just over 1/2" (14mm) wide. It may be ordered with one of my chains in either bright/shiny or oxidized finish, please see the last 4 photos in this listing to see available styles and related information and make your selection from the drop down menus. My photos show the pendant on both the rhodium plated diamond cut satellite chain the oxidized flat cable chain.
Made to order
The Tree of Life symbolizes different things to many cultures but to me it's sheltering branches symbolize joy in life and a connection to all living things, and it's deep roots symbolize a reverence and gratitude for the earth that holds and supports us. I think it is worth noting that although a tree is rooted and fixed in location there is freedom in the dance of it's branches, and joy in the song of the rustling leaves. Whatever meaning the Tree of Life has for you let this small sterling silver pendant serve as a talisman to remind you of that meaning.
